New Hair Rescue Treatment

Keraplast Technologies launched a revolutionary Keratin hair treatment, Hair Rescue with Replicine Functional Keratin technology, at the high profile beauty event Cosmoprof North America in July 2011. Early adopter salons across the US are now starting to try this new treatment to dramatically repair damaged hair, rescue hair previously thought of as unrecoverable and enhance color as a pre-color treatment.

I tried the keratin treatment on my assistant as well as a couple of my clients who have dry hair, split ends etc. but my assistant was in dyer straits. her hair was fried from repeated bleaching and trying to grow it out with minimal to no trims. we were amazed at the results. The hair felt strong, silky and most of all had the shine back…Im curious to see the longevity of it in her hair but so far it was about 10 days ago and nothing has changed. still like a new head of hair. cant wait to try on myself…

Does Keraplast Hair Rescue work as well for African American hair and if so; where can I purchase it in Detroit, Michigan 48208.

    • Keratin Questions on

If African American hair has been damaged through chemical treatment such as straightening, color or heat then Hair Rescue is an excellent way to repair the hair from the inside out and bring back some of the properties it has lost. The treatment is for in-salon use and directions for how to use it can be found here http://www.keraplast.com/hair-rescue, as well as description of what it will do for hair.

If i get keratin will i be able to curl my hair or put it up in a pony tail or up due.

    • Keratin Questions on

Hi sydni, this really depends on the keratin treatment used. There are so many it is hard to say. The more mild and less permanent ones are generally better for the styling options you describe.

Do you have a list of salons in the US who do your Keratin repair system?
I live in New York state but can travel and will be visiting the San Fransisco, California area later this month.
Does your repair process use heat?
Why does it have to be done in a salon?
    Thanks!

    • Keratin Questions on

Yes, Keraplast Hair Rescue with Replicine Functional Keratin does use heat. This is best done in a salon as it gives good control over the heat and ensures a long enough exposure. The heat helps ensure good penetration and in particular that the right amount of binding and rebuilding of hair structure can go on to ensure a strong and durable repair.

Got a keratin blow out done a week ago. When washed a couple of days later hair all dried out and looks burnt, how can this be treated now and what would have caused that to happen? Have had it done several times before and always beautiful after. Can it be repaired by doing it again or will that make it worse??

    • Keratin Questions on

It sounds like the temperature used in the treatment was too high and has damaged your hair. Keratin blowouts are usually intended to make you hair smooth or straight, and they are not effective at repairing damaged hair as they do not contain the right sort of keratin. Instead they contain chemicals that work inside each hair fiber to lock them straight. If done too many times that can damage the hair structure. To repair your hair, Hair Rescue with Replicine Functional Keratin is a specialist keratin treatment aimed at repair. Most keratin treatments use chemical agents to make your hair straight or smooth, and it sounds like that is not what you need to get your hair restored to how it used to feel.
